A look at our Electric Narrowboats

Named after some of Wales’ most spectacular castles, our holiday hire narrowboats offer a choice of sizes, number of berths and even propulsion. Castle Narrowboats have operated both diesel narrowboats and electric narrowboats for over 30 years.

Each boat has full central heating and a television with DVD. In the well equipped galley you will find a full size cooker and a larder fridge with a small freezer compartment. Freshly Laundered bed linen is provided and there is a 240v power supply for running low wattage items. Check the full inventory.

For the greener option experience the tranquility of an electric narrowboat, the only electric narrowboats for hire in the UK. With a quiet motor you can cruise the canal and be at peace with your surroundings. You do not need to recharge the narrowboat every day and when you do it’s very simple – just pull up to one of our six charging points at any time of day, plug in and switch on.

The moorings for the charging points are reserved for our electric boats, they are situated where you are likely to want to stop and close to amenities.
